Owners, Eddie and Laura Byrd McKenzie have been married for 37 years. They live in the house on the Venue property.
Eddie and Laura are both retired public educators. They have two daughters, Bobbi, Jessi and one son, Eddie-Ramzie. Eddie-Ramzie graduated from Clemson University with an Electrical Engineering Degree. Their pride and joy are their four grandchildren, Isaac, Lolli, Banner and Eddie Ray. Eddie and Laura love living on the family farm. Laura's labor of love for the outdoors can be seen throughout the Venue! |

Venue at Laura's Farm started operating to the public in 2018 in Memory of Laura's late mother,
Alva Jean Oliver Byrd, who passed away in 2015. Jean was raised by her grandmother in Olanta, SC before moving to Hartsville, SC as a teen, where she and Jesse Jr met. Venue at Laura's Farm honors Jean's vision that every bride is deserving of a wedding without going into debt. We honor that by keeping our prices well below the industry standard. |
Jean made both of her daughter's clothes for many years. Including their prom and wedding dresses.
